実力派で売ってた。今でも大好きな歌手の1人です。
シティハンターとかアニメの曲でよく使われた。

ジャニス・イアンのウィル･ユー･ダンスっていう曲は、「岸辺のアルバム」っていうテレビドラマのオープニングで使われた、印象的な曲です。

ドラマでは倦怠期を迎えた夫婦の危機と子供たちが大人になる過程での苦悩、家族が崩壊してゆく様が描かれ、最後に水害により家が崩壊する（水害で家が流される部分は実際の報道映像が取り込まれた）。
